Both buyers and the sellers of street food at traffic lights may face fines of up to THB 2,000, and possible court action, according to deputy governor Vallop Suwandee.
Traffic police and city officials yesterday agreed on a clampdown, especially in Pomprap Sattruphai and Phra Nakhon districts.
Penalties available under the Public Cleaning Act and the Traffic Act would be strictly applied, Mr Vallop said.
