A gold necklace and 1 million baht in cash was reportedly discovered inside a bed-head donated to charity, and will fund the construction of a school building unless the owner does not come forward to reclaim it within 30 days.
Suan Kaew Foundation founder Phra Payom Kallayano said: "We found the money in early 2006, and deposited it in a bank account and have tried to find its owner [without success]."
Phra Payom, the abbot of the Wat Suan Kaew, said: "The person who is going to reclaim these assets must be able to provide details as to when the bed was donated and what had the money and gold necklace were contained in."
