Media mogul Sondhi Lim-thongkul has accused Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra of planning a violent conspiracy. During his Thailand This Week talk show in Lumpini Park, Sondhi spoke of an alleged secret plan to propel the current political conflict to a violent breaking point. "There are attempts to challenge the monarchy and intentions to bring the political crisis to a breaking point, and Thaksin does not care whether the situation turns bloody or not," Sondhi claimed. "The letter to Bush written on June 23 spoke of the necessity of preserving democracy, and the possibility of violent means being employed," he said. "Then, on June 29, Thaksin challenged the 'charismatic person' openly, who could have been no one else but the King. "After the royal celebrations ended, the Interior Ministry issued an order to local administrative officers to come to a temple near Bangkok next week. "Then the Royal Forestry Department ordered its officials to practice firing automatic rifles at Saraburi province. "When things are looked at one-by-one, you can see that there is a hidden agenda of violence," he added.
