Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has been named the country's fourth richest man with a fortune of 85 billion baht, according to Forbes magazine. Thaksin is the founder of Shin Corp., which owns stakes in top mobile phone company AIS, Shin Satellite, Air Asia and ITV. In January this year, his family sold a majority stake in Shin Corp. and earned 76 billion baht under a tax-free deal, which led to months of street protests and accusations of corruption. The richest man in the country is Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, the owner of Thai Beverage, who is said to be worth 124 billion baht, the magazine said. Second was Chaleo Yoovidhya, the owner of Red Bull.
