Thais read just 2 books a year

The average Thai reads just two books a year, it was revealed yesterday, well below neighbouring Vietnam and Singapore. The average annual amount Thai people spend on books is just THB 260, visitors to the Book Expo at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre learned.
In Vietnam, people read an average of 60 books a year and in Singapore the number is 45, according to survey data.
