Thailand remembers the good times
Wednesday, 27 February 2008
Most Thai people prefer to remember the good things that ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra did for the country, according to a new Assumption University poll.

Some 64.7% of the youth respondents and 66.5% of adults think about all the good things he has done rather than the corruprion charges made against him.

Some 45.8% of the respondents said they miss Mr Thaksin a lot while 41.6% said they do not quite miss him. About 12.6% said they miss him moderately.

It's true in any country that the people have a short memory. Since Thaksin Shinawatra is back in Thailand to clear his name I'm sure that within a short period of time there will be many more people that remember only the good things and the allegations of corruption will fade into the past.
