With Valentine's Day approaching, Ayutthaya's provincial cultural council yesterday called for a clampdown on "love nests" used by underage couples. With Cupid on his way, police should vigilantly monitor internet cafes, parks and love motels, insisted Council chairman Jiraphan Pimpan. Apart from the city's love motels, underage hot spots are reported to include the sports stadium and public parks near the Somdej Phra Sri Suriyothai monument, King Naresuan monument and the Somdej Phra Srinakarindra Boromarajajonani park. Other locations under watch include karaoke rooms, internet cafes and isolated corners in department stores.
