Bloggers are demanding clarification from the Thai government over a report in the Financial Times that two Thais have been arrested for making offensive comments about the monarchy in an internet chat room. A Thai webmaster, Phraya Phichai, who runs www.propaganda.forumotion.com, is reported as missing by the online community. His outspoken website discusses the monarchy, but was blocked by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) last month.
Net surfers are afraid that the webmaster has gone missing under suspicious circumstances after rumours spread that he had been arrested. However, ICT Minister Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom denied knowledge of any arrests.
