Caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinatwatra says he will return to politics to deal with escalating southern Muslim insurgency.
Thaksin stepped down after swelling protests demanded his resignation and when the opposition's boycot of the April 2 snap elections created a political vacuum in the country.
