A popular girl band has been chosen by Thailand's Culture Ministry to front a campaign for women to dress conservatively during this year's Songkran festivities (13-15 April).
Girly Berry, known for wearing miniskirts and midriff-bearing tops when they perform, said that women should "not to wear tank tops, strapless tops or very short pants" during the traditional Thai New Year.
"Don't dress in anything too revealing or too sexy because it can be dangerous," singer Mananya Limsatien said in a statement.
