As football fever continues to grip Thailand, two fans were shot at point blank range in a restaurant in Pattaya on Monday, said the Pattaya police chief Police Col. Somnuek Chanket. Authorities are still looking for the gunman. The incident took place during a match between Ghana and Italy, when Chamlong Rongsaeng, 30, and Somnuek Sonkun, 41 broke out in loud cheers after Italy's first goal. A heated argument erupted after a nearby patron asked the two Thai fans to be quiet, said Panipha Wattakul, a girlfriend of one of the victims. The gunman fled the scene, however, officials say they know who he is. It seems our deepes fears have finally been proven true: soccer does breed sociopaths.
