Qantas airlines' low-cost carrier, Jetstar is launching new routes to the Asia-Pacific, including destinations like Bangkok and Phuket. ''Bangkok and Phuket are two of the most popular tourism destinations in Asia for Australians and with Jetstar's high brand recognition in Australia and a genuine national appetite for low fares, we believe we will encourage thousands of regular and new tourists to these destinations,'' general manager for Jetstar's pricing and offline channels David Koczkar told the Bangkok Post . Jetstar currently flies to 21 destinations in Australia with international flights to Christchurch, Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Osaka and Honolulu also on the route. Until tomorrow, Jetstar are offering one-way flights from Bangkok-Melbourne for 3,900 THB including taxes, surcharges and fees. Phuket-Sydney flights are going for 910 THB excluding the extras. Travelers can also opt for "Star Class" for 24,000THB, which is equivalent to the Qantas domestic business class including meals, drinks and a personal TV screen.
