Local authorities are warning residents along the Chao Phraya River to move their belongings to higher ground as water levels rise from the combined high tide and northern run-off.
Sandbag embankments have been built along the river as water levels are expected to be high for the next few days.
The Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry said it was confident its water management will prevent flooding near Suvarnabhumi airport and in the central provinces.
