According to the statistics; yes! I was quite amazed to find that Thailand's the third largest consumer of alcohol in the world.
I guess it's all done in the name of 'Sanook', and being a fan of drinking myself I say 'crack-on'. Just try and avoid the 'drink-drive' combo, or 'drink-beat-up-the-wife' combo.

Definitely. Totally. Naturally Thais just love to have fun and you just won't find a nationality who is as good at using lame excuses to drink. In the recent poll, Thailand has finally made it to the top 10 countries to consume the most alcohol. I swear next year we're gonna beat those Irish bastards.

Yes, this might be because we seem to have too much time. Take those old Thai country songs for example, many of them talk a lot about finishing up the day on the farm to get together to sing and drink. I don't think the new law to restrict selling times will change anything.
