Hello flip-flop Backpackers - Its not expensive for what you get! You have to include the whole experience not just the prices on the menu.

Fantastic place, I would pay triple the price too, but maybe its just because Im so rich..

i ate twice there ( was invited ) the food is very lame , the service is even worse. we were 4 the first time and 10 the second time , both times , no one got served at the same time, both times , some were at ordering the desert while the others didn't even get the starters. this is unnacceptable for a restaurant of this standing .... foodwise , the menu never changes, the recipes are unnimaginative and poorly cooked ( even if you get your food hot, its not even at the level of a sizzler's restaurant ) yet its all described with pompous names ( even their cheese burgers , yes THEY DO HAVE A CHEESE BURGER ).

sirroco is nonetheless a place to visit to get a (very expensive) cocktail (don't expect to taste alcohol in your cocktail ) in a breathtaking view and good live jazz band.

DO NOT EAT THERE , for the same price or even cheaper go to " LE PRE GRILL " where the food is OUTSTANDING !!

I enjoyed a meal with my wife and friends and were as impressed with the food ans we were with the level of service and views. This place is a must go if you visit Bankok. It is true to say that cheaper foods can be found on the ground floors of Bankok (if you have a cement stomache), but we didnt visit one of the best restuaraunts in the world looking for a cheap feed. Our total bill didnt exceed $400 aus. Should I vist Bankok again, we will certainly visit Sorocos again (pending my vertigo).

The bar is spectacular and we go there sometimes for a drink. Eating however is not recommended. The food is kind of fancy and very expensive. Yes, go somewhere else for eating, dont choose this place, it is a waist of money.

you shouldnt eat there, unless you have money to burn and dont care about good food. Go there to have a drink at the sky bar, enjoy the fantastic view (!!!) and then go to eat at a more "down to earth" restaurant which probably has the better food...
