Singapore shuts airspace
Wednesday, 23 January 2008
Singapore was forced to shut down its airspace for 50 minutes when a civilian plane from a Thai resort entered without an approved flight plan.

Two air force fighter jets intercepted the single-engine turboprop Cessna 208 on Tuesday night and escorted it to Changi Airport, revealed the island state's defence ministry.

Singaporean police began investigations once the small plane had landed.
