A new Thai TV series is damaging the way that the nation views air hostesses, according to the labour union of Thai Airways International. Airline staff have complained that skirts are too short and that hostesses, often shown fighting over pilots, show off too much cleavage. Somsak Srinual, president of the union, yesterday called for the suspension of all sponsorship for programmes made by the show's producer, Exact Co.
"It introduces violence just to improve the series' ratings," he was quoted as saying.
