Pro-Thaksin website blocked
Saturday, 08 December 2007
The ICT Ministry decided to block hi-thaksin.net which is a popular pro-Thaksin website. The website stated that in the upcoming elections, voting for the PPP (People Power Party) is equal to voting for Thaksin.
On the same day the message was put on the website it was blocked.

The website claimed that if people vote for PPP leader Samak Sundaravej, they would get Thaksin as a leader. "Every vote for the PPP would help get Mr Thaksin home safely" the site continued.

Although the website was blocked yesterday, the ICT inspector-general Thaneerat Siripachana actually denied that his ministry has blocked it. His version was that if too many people tried to access the website at the same time it could automatically shut down.
