Across the world, women are sending their panties to Burmese embassies.

Burma’s superstitious leaders, particularly junta chief Than Shwe, believe that contact with women’s clothing deprives them of their power.

The “Panties for Peace” campaign has now come to Thailand after springing up in Australia, Europe and Singapore.

ok that's symbolic but wouldn't it be more useful to join an association for freedom of burma or to keep the money that the panties cost to help the family of the missing monks that have demonstrated and dissapear??? just think about dat...
